Command the electromagnetic spectrum, win the modern fight
Rohde & Schwarz delivers end-to-end solutions across signal test, SIGINT/EW, secure communications and C4ISR, so that armed forces can achieve true spectrum dominance.
The core problems in modern defense electronic systems
The modern battlefield changes fast, and control of the electromagnetic spectrum has become decisive. These are the core challenges facing defense electronics integrators and research institutes:
- Spectrum complexity keeps growing, and it has to be converted into situational awareness and effective electronic countermeasures in real time
- Integrating SIGINT/EW across a multi-domain operating environment is hard, and the signal chain has to be covered without gaps
- Military systems have to meet strict electromagnetic compatibility requirements such as MIL-STD-461/464, STANAG and RTCA DO-160
- Demand for drone detection and countermeasures is growing fast, and reliable counter-drone capability has to be fielded quickly
- SATCOM link faults have to be detected and cleared immediately to keep military communications secure and available
All-domain operational solutions
Covering all five operational domains — air, land, sea, space and cyber — with a complete signal chain for multi-domain joint operations.

Electronic Warfare (EW)
Electronic support (ES): detection, direction finding, geolocation, interception, identification and analysis of radar and communication signals. Local engineering support, from first call to end of life
Long-Term Support Commitments
NCSIST and defense procurement agencies require 10 to 15 years of spare parts cover and maintenance capability. As the authorized R&S distributor for Taiwan, KanTek Technology offers the formal long-term support commitments below, so that your measurement systems keep working across their whole service life.
R&S states a minimum spare parts availability period of 10 years after a product is discontinued. KanTek Technology can help you write a priority spare-parts purchase clause into the procurement contract and hold a local buffer stock, reducing the risk that a critical component goes out of supply.
R&S operates an 18-month advance discontinuation notice. Once the notice is issued the last time buy (LTB) window opens, and during it you can secure enough replacement parts or instruments. KanTek Technology passes EOL notices on immediately and helps you size the LTB quantity and the budget.
Five-year, seven-year and ten-year long-term service contracts (LTSC) can be quoted, covering scheduled preventive maintenance, annual calibration through a TAF-accredited partner laboratory, priority repair scheduling and on-site technical support options. An LTSC can be tailored to the requirements of a particular procurement and signed in Chinese, which meets the Government Procurement Act's requirements for a local service contract.
KanTek Technology knows Taiwan's government procurement process in detail and supports defense organizations, including NCSIST partner units, from requirement definition through to RFQ approval, confidentially and compliantly throughout.
Rohde & Schwarz instruments can fall within the scope of US export control (EAR) and/or ITAR. KanTek Technology can help you confirm the ECCN classification, apply for the export license and supply a template for the end-use certificate (EUC) required, so that the procurement stays within export control rules. Reference classifications for the main models: R&S FSW - ECCN 3A002.a.1 (high-performance spectrum analyzer); R&S SMW200A - ECCN 3A002.a.1 (vector signal generator); R&S MSR4 - ECCN 5A001.b.1 (communications receiver). The binding classification is the one in R&S's own export control documentation, and KanTek Technology can obtain the current export control checklist from the manufacturer on your behalf.
KanTek Technology works with local partner laboratories in Taiwan that hold TAF accreditation (Taiwan Accreditation Foundation) and issue calibration reports to ISO/IEC 17025, satisfying government procurement acceptance and the measurement traceability required by military specifications.
Every inquiry, technical discussion and quotation document can be covered by a non-disclosure agreement at your request, which suits defense procurements involving classified specifications and keeps the technical detail confidential throughout, as the internal controls of defense organizations require.
The industry partners who rely on KanTek Technology
A Taiwanese defense avionics system integrator (Q2 2024) introduced the R&S FSW spectrum analyzer and SMW200A signal generator and shortened its MIL-STD-461G EMI certification test cycle from six weeks to two, identifying four RF harmonic problems during development and avoiding the cost of a board respin after a failed compliance test. KanTek Technology provides local-language technical support, arranges calibration through a TAF-accredited partner laboratory and - once the service launches - flexible instrument rental, so engineering teams can complete verification on demanding military programme schedules.
