This Policy explains what personal data this website collects, how that data is used and retained, and which rights you may exercise. The Company processes your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act of the Republic of China.

2. Personal Data You Provide Directly

When you use the form features of this website, we collect the following data that you enter:

  • Contact form: name, e-mail address, subject and message content. The company name and contact telephone number you enter are stored together with the message content.
  • Service request form: name, e-mail address, service category, instrument model, subject and message content.
  • Product configuration quotation request: name, e-mail address, contact telephone number, company name, the product configuration selected, and remarks.
  • Solution page enquiry form: the fields above are stored together with the message content.
  • Newsletter subscription: e-mail address.

3. Data Collected Automatically

When you browse this website, the system automatically records the following data for traffic analysis and security protection:

  • Page paths viewed, visit and dwell time, referring website domain, and browser User-Agent.
  • A hash of your IP address and the leading portion of that address (the first three octets of an IPv4 address), together with the country-, region- and city-level location derived from it.
  • The session identifier in the _kt_s cookie.
  • The _kt_v visitor identifier and the _kt_vcount visit count in localStorage.
  • If you submit the contact form during a visit, that contact record retains the session identifier of that visit.
  • Security events additionally record the full IP address, User-Agent, path and time.

4. Purposes of Collection and Use

The Company collects the data above for the following purposes and uses:

  • Responding to your quotation requests and service enquiries.
  • Sending the newsletter.
  • Analyzing website traffic and usage behavior in order to improve the content of the website.
  • Preventing abuse and attacks.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

  • _kt_s: used for traffic analysis, valid for 30 minutes, set as HttpOnly with SameSite=Lax.
  • connect.sid: used only for administration back-end login, valid for 24 hours.
  • localStorage _kt_v / _kt_vcount.

This website does not currently provide a cookie consent management interface. You can block or delete cookies and site storage through your browser settings.

6. Third-Party Services

This website uses the following third-party services, which may obtain some data as a technical consequence of their operation:

  • Google Ads conversion / remarketing tag (gtag.js, tag AW-11064890274): loaded site-wide.
  • Google Fonts: loaded site-wide; Google obtains your IP address and browser information when a font is requested.
  • Google Maps embed: used on the “Contact Us” page only.
  • Gmail SMTP: form content is sent by e-mail to infoka@kantek.com.tw, transmitted via Google.
  • Google Cloud Platform App Engine: website hosting.
  • MongoDB Atlas: database.

7. Data Sharing

Other than the service providers listed above, the Company does not sell or rent your personal data. The internal management system of the Company can access contact and service request records through a key-protected interface.

8. Retention Periods

  • Traffic analysis, usage behavior and security event records: deleted automatically after 90 days.
  • Contact records, service request records and newsletter subscription data are retained until the business purpose is fulfilled or until you request deletion; the Company has not set an automatic deletion period for them.

9. Your Rights

Pursuant to Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act, you may exercise the following rights in respect of your personal data held by the Company:

  • Make an enquiry.
  • Request review.
  • Request a duplicate copy.
  • Request supplementation or correction.
  • Request that collection, processing or use cease.
  • Request deletion.

10. Unsubscribing from the Newsletter

Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link at the foot of the message. Unsubscribing stops delivery only; the subscription record remains in the database. If you want it deleted as well, please write to us.

11. Data Security

  • The website is served over HTTPS.
  • The administration back-end requires password authentication.
  • The forms are protected by anti-bot measures and submission rate limiting.

12. Minors

This website provides a business-to-business (B2B) service and is not directed at minors.

13. Amendments to This Policy

This Policy was last updated on August 23, 2026. When the Company amends this Policy, the amendment will be announced on this page.
