Overview
The R&S®HZ-15 EMC near-field probe set covers E-field and H-field near-field measurement from 30 MHz to 3 GHz alongside an oscilloscope. The set holds two passive electric field probes and three electrically shielded passive magnetic field probes, which connect directly to an oscilloscope, a spectrum analyzer or a measuring receiver. The optional R&S®HZ-16 preamplifier adds 20 dB of gain and lifts sensitivity considerably on weak signals. The electrical shielding keeps E-field coupling out of the H-field measurement, and the probe tips are shaped for near-field work, giving the spatial resolution needed to pin down the source of an EMI problem. Being passive and bidirectional, the H-field probes can also inject a signal for localised immunity testing.
