Product overview
R&S®ZNrun is a vector network analyzer (VNA) test automation software suite that brings the tools needed from development through production to quality control onto one platform, behind an easy graphical interface with automation and optimisation intelligence of its own. Its architecture is DUT-centric: you define the number of ports on the device under test and its input signals, then a wizard walks you through the measurement setup, and setups can be saved, reloaded and combined into templates. The suite is multi-client — Workbench, the measurement client, the calibration client, the cable test client and the visualization client — so several measurements can run in parallel against one R&S®ZNrun server. It detects R&S VNAs on the same subnet automatically (ZNA, ZNB, ZNB3000, ZNBT and ZND are supported) and offers a .NET remoting API, a C# plug-in interface and Python code snippets. The K4xx options automate PCIe 5.0/6.0 and IEEE 802.3 high-speed cable compliance testing. The R&S®ZNrun software itself is a free download from the R&S website; running a measurement needs a valid R&S®ZNRUN-K1 core licence installed in an R&S®ZNPC dongle.
