Product overview
The R&S®NRPxxA / NRPxxAN are wideband average power sensors from Rohde & Schwarz built on a three-path diode architecture. They cover 8 kHz to 18 GHz with a 93 dB dynamic range from –70 dBm to +23 dBm and are specially designed for EMC measurements and average power in the communications bands; coverage that starts as low as 8 kHz is what sets this family apart. The AN models have a built-in LAN interface, so they drop straight into an automated test system for remote monitoring.
Key features
- Wideband coverage: from 8 kHz up to 6 GHz or 18 GHz, taking in the wireless bands and the low frequencies below them
- 93 dB dynamic range for CW and modulated signals
- Three-path diode technology: low modulation dependency and excellent impedance matching
- AN models include a LAN interface for remote and automated monitoring
- Connects straight to a PC over USB and measures without a base unit
- Works with the R&S®NRX power meter or an R&S®NRP-Z5 USB hub for multichannel measurements
- Detachable interface cable, which makes installation and long cable runs easier
Typical applications
- Average power measurements for EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) testing
- Average power verification on wireless communications transmitters
- RF average power measurements in the low (kHz) bands
- ATE automated test and remote monitoring (AN models)
- General laboratory power verification on CW and modulated signals
