Product overview
The R&S®FE44S is an external millimeterwave frontend that extends the frequency range of Rohde & Schwarz signal and spectrum analyzers and signal generators to 44 GHz. Because it up- and downconverts right at the device under test (DUT), cable loss drops, sensitivity improves, and more power reaches the antenna in an over-the-air (OTA) test setup. A single RF connector keeps the number of antennas an OTA setup needs down, which simplifies the configuration and lowers system cost. With up to 1 GHz of equalized analysis bandwidth and excellent signal quality, the module meets the demanding test requirements of 5G NR, 6G, satellite communications and the 60 GHz band.

- Flexible reference input (10 MHz, 640 MHz, 1 GHz) synchronizes seamlessly with the R&S base instrument
- Works with the FSW, FSVA3000, FSV3000, FSWT, SMW200A, SMM100A and RTP among other base instruments
- Supports 5G NR Rel. 15 downlink and uplink, WLAN 802.11ad/ay, OFDM, pulse and phase noise measurement applications
- Complies with the IEC/EN 61326-1 EMC standard; CE and KC certified
