Overview
The R&S®NGC100 series is the basic DC power supply in the R&S®Essentials line, aimed at development laboratories, industrial settings, manufacturing and education. One-, two- and three-channel models are available with up to 100 W of output power and up to 32 V per channel. All channels are galvanically isolated, so they can be connected in series or in parallel to extend the voltage or the current, and the instruments stay efficient, cool and quiet even at full load.
Key features
- FlexPower: maximum output power at many different operating points, so one instrument covers more applications
- EasyArb arbitrary function: builds complex time-varying voltage and current sequences with intervals down to 10 ms
- Data logging on every output channel at up to 1000 samples/s
- Galvanically isolated channels, free to be connected in series or in parallel to extend the voltage or current range
- EasyRamp voltage ramp: a continuous rise over 10 ms to 10 s to keep inrush current under control
- Output delay timing for staged power-up sequences across several rails
- Remote sensing compensates for the drop along the supply leads, holding the set voltage at the load
- External TTL trigger input to start functions from an outside signal
- Analog control input: drive the output directly from 0 V to 10 V or 4 mA to 20 mA
- USB and LAN (LXI) as standard; -G models add GPIB (IEEE-488)
Typical applications
- Circuit design and verification in the development laboratory
- Measurement and power testing in industrial environments
- Manufacturing and quality control on the production line
- University and vocational training laboratories
- Supplying a device under test and verifying its power consumption
- Small and medium power tests needing several channels in series or parallel
