Product overview
The R&S®DST200 is a compact RF-shielded, fully anechoic chamber designed for radiated testing of wireless devices during development. Its compact form fits on any R&D laboratory bench, so it is available at every stage of product design and optimization. The DST200 covers a wide range from 400 MHz to 18 GHz with more than 110 dB of shielding effectiveness, reproducing free-space conditions and keeping parasitic loading and detuning of the equipment under test (EUT) and its antenna to a minimum. With R&S®AMS32 software it performs TRP, TIS and coexistence tests, helping products reach a high first-pass rate at final type approval and saving time and cost.
Key features
- Fully anechoic RF chamber covering 400 MHz to 18 GHz with more than 110 dB of shielding effectiveness
- Optimized pyramidal RF absorber layout creates free-space conditions inside the cavity, suppressing parasitic loading of the EUT and detuning of its antenna
- Wideband single-module test antenna (cross-polarized or circularly polarized) that the customer can replace, keeping maintenance simple
- Unique mechanical design maintains highly effective shielding over the long term
- Optional automated 3D positioner with servo motor control and optical position sensors for complete spherical OTA scans
- Support structure made of a very low relative permittivity material (Rohacell) to minimize RF disturbance inside the cavity
- Optional reference antenna for on-site calibration, keeping measurement accuracy traceable
- R&S®AMS32 software provides ready-made test templates for TRP, TIS and coexistence testing
- Compact benchtop design, usable in development, quality assurance, production and after-sales service
- Raises the first-pass rate at final type approval and shortens time to market
Typical applications
- Radiated performance verification of wireless devices during R&D
- Quality assurance (QA) testing
- Production diagnostics and quality control
- After-sales service and repair diagnostics
- TRP (total radiated power) and TIS (total isotropic sensitivity) measurement
- Coexistence testing across multiple radio services
- Antenna performance and pattern measurement (with the 3D positioner)
