Product overview
The R&S®ATS800R is a 5G NR mmWave test chamber based on CATR (compact antenna test range) technology, giving 5G FR2 antennas, modules and devices a very compact over-the-air (OTA) test environment for R&D. Its small footprint and wide frequency range deliver maximum functionality and test coverage in a limited space, and its flexible configuration options and range of add-ons make it a solid, future-proof answer to FR2 test requirements.

- Very compact and portable CATR test chamber with a footprint of only 0.7 m² and a 20 cm quiet zone; mounted on a wheeled frame it moves easily and fits through a standard doorway, and can be installed in a rack, on a bench or on a workbench
- High-precision state-of-the-art reflector with rolled edges and a bidirectional parabolic form that collimates the beam from the feed antenna or the DUT; the reflecting surface is precision-polished for high-frequency operation to keep scattering low, and is manufactured by Rohde & Schwarz in Germany
- Retrofittable 3D azimuth/elevation positioner moves the DUT precisely on two axes, with built-in encoders for accurate position control; with the optional RF rotary joint it also supports passive antenna measurement
- Retrofittable temperature enclosure that is RF-transparent and thermally insulating, heating or cooling the DUT to between -40 °C and +85 °C without affecting the quality of the radiated RF measurement
- Optional camera lets you monitor the DUT at any time, with an infrared thermal imaging function that shows the device heatmap live during the test
- One-stop solution integrated with Rohde & Schwarz test systems, for fast and smooth measurement in the laboratory and quick antenna performance results
