Overview
The R&S®DDF550 is a wideband direction finder offering outstanding real-time bandwidth and DF scan speed together with high DF accuracy, sensitivity and immunity to reflections. Key specifications include a frequency range of 20 MHz to 6 GHz (with an optional HF extension to 8 kHz / 300 kHz) and 80 MHz real-time bandwidth in V/U/SHF. Features include a high DF scan speed from the 80 MHz real-time bandwidth, which takes bearings on short-time and frequency hopping signals with a high probability of intercept, and a multi-element antenna design that keeps immunity to reflections high and bearings stable in VHF/UHF/SHF even with 50 % reflection. The R&S®DDF550 is R&S direction finding / location equipment that quickly establishes the bearing and position of a signal, for spectrum enforcement and interference hunting. KanTek can help with a supply assessment, model selection and system integration.
Key features
- 80 MHz real-time bandwidth gives a high DF scan speed, taking bearings on short-time and frequency hopping signals with a high probability of intercept
- Multi-element antenna design keeps immunity to reflections high and bearings stable in VHF/UHF/SHF even with 50 % reflection
- Meets all ITU recommendations for direction finders and receivers, with optional ITU signal measurement
Typical applications
- Radio spectrum monitoring
- Signal direction finding, triangulation and location
- Communications intelligence (COMINT)
